Some show and tell...

I managed to get heaps of challenges done this month, so here are a few more to share...in no particular order...

My entry for the 123 Challenge Blog.. the criteria was dominate white in colour, the word new, and paint smears.  This was actually my second attempt at this challenge, as i got a little carried away with the paint on the first attempt and my layout was no longer white!! lol!! Oops!! :) You will see it in the near future though, as i have decided to hold on to it for a Top 50 challenge somewhere done the track!! :)

Here's a sneak of my original layout:

And here is one i did using the monthly sketch from Wicked Princess. I love how this one turned out!! :)

Last of the June monthlies..

Here are my last two entries for the Top 50 June monthly challenges!

Challenge 1 by Sue was a technique challenge.  The technique we had to include was the use of transparencies.  I don't use these often, as i have trouble keeping the images on them.  I use staz-on, but i normally wobble a bit and stuff up the image!  I think i did all right with this one though.  The other criterias were to use the colour green, the word happy, and at least 2 bows.  This is what i came up with.  I meant to journal on it, but forgot, then ran out of time.  The photo was taken by my lovely forum friend Kathie, when we took a trip to Warrnambool to meet her!! :)

Challenge 2 was by Bec our GDT for June!  Her challenge was a sketch challenge using the following sketch, and also using bright colours (i struggle with this when it is part of the criteria, lol, love it otherwise!! :) ), a one word title and foam dots.

The sketch (sourced from Scrapbooksetc.com):

And my layout. I love how this turned out ....

and i am loving making these fabric fire flowers as Jorja calls them!! lol!! :)

Final cc layout!! Woohoo!! :)

This is my final cc layout for the June Top 50 CC!! :)  Challenge 4 was set by Sue and required the use of the folowing quote:
"Let your inner fairy fly free" - (unknown)
As well as the use of patterned paper for the background and something silver.

And my take on the above:

Yippee i have finished all the cc challenge early for a change!! :)

OOTH and A2Z entries..

This months OOTH ch was to create a layout using..
1. Mixed alpha title
2. Multi photos (more than 3)
3. Include doodling and staples

I like this challenge blog because the challenge is set by the members.  Everybody nominates some criterias, then at the start of the month the criterias are pulled out of a hat!! :)

I was really liking how this layout was looking until i realised i needed MORE than 3 photos!!  Looked really good with 3!! lol!!  Oh and then i went and spilt the glimmermist on it!  Oh well, it is done!! :)

A2Z Scraplets had a sketch challenge for June, designed by Liz Weber (check her out, her stuff is amazing!!).  The sketch was absolutely gorgeous and looked so girly!
Here is the sketch:

So of course i had to challenge myself to do a boy layout with it! lol!  I love how this turned out and am loving using the heart shaped chippie buttons that Jorja and i made!! :)

I love this page!

This layout is my entry for Ch 1 of the June CC at Top 50.  The challenge was to create a layout, including the following quote:

"Until you spread your wings you have no idea of how far you can fly" - unknown.

While also including meaningful journalling (not just the who, when, where) and flowers!!

My layout is about a beautiful friendship i have made with Sue on the forum!  She is such a gorgeous girl and we have so much in common!  I truely hope we will be friends for a very long time, and although we have never actually spoken/heard each others voices, we love to get ont he forum and chat the night away most nights!! lol! Its a wonder we get any scrapping done at all!! lol!! :)  Love ya babe!! :)

Challenge 2 was set by Kathie and was also a lot of fun.  The criteria was to use the following quote:
"The higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly" - Friedrich Nietzsche

And to also include hand cutting, distressing and some (more than 1) butterflies and/or birds!

Thanks to my cuz, Shaz, for the hot air balloon on this one too!! :)

Dare ch!

The June Dare Ch at Top 50 was once again set by the members. The criteria was:
1. Multi-photo (more than 2)
2. Use an envelope (can be handmade, but must resemble an envelope and be able to hold something)
3. Use a foreign object (non scrapping) - like a safety pin or something
4. Use flowers & leaves

And here is my layout:

And my foreign object, lol!, a pebble stuck on the photo:

Opening Night CC Ch!!

I love it when i have some show and tell for you all. The sun was nice yesterday and showed its face for 5 minutes so i was able to run out and snap some photos of my layouts! :-)

This is my layout for the Top 50 cc opening night challenge. Because it was a mini challenge, we had a much shorter timeframe to complete it in (2 days!) The criteria for this challenge was to create something smaller than 12 x 12 with our own "wings" criteria. That is, something representing each of the letters in "wings".  The criteria I used was:
W - White - cs, gel pen, cotton, string, buttons
I - Ink - black texta and white gel pen
N - Navy - Mesh, button, glimmermist
G - Glimmermist (navy)
S - sewing, staples, string

CC Underway!

The Top 50 June CC is well and truly underway.  All the challenges have now been announced.  My challenge this month is challenge 3.  My criteria is to create a layout, incorporating the following quote:

"Indulge your imagination in every possible flight" - Jane Austen

As well as including two or more photos, with at least one of the photos cut out, and a 4 word title!

Here is my example:
Nearly all materials for this layout have been supplied by Tracy at My2Angels!

I have also completed the opening night mini challenge, but haven't been able
to get a decent photo of it yet has the weather has been so horrible here!! :(

I have been doing quite a bit of scrapping lately, but most of it has been secret squirrel stuff,
or the weather has been too bad to get any decent photos of them! :(

Scrap Whispers

During May we started a scrap whispers at Top 50 where the first person does a layout, then sends it to the next on the list to scraplift, and so on until the last person has a turn, and today we were finally able to load them all to the gallery!!  It is so funny, they all look completely different!! :)

Here is mine.  I was 2nd in line:
You can see the other lifts in the gallery here!
